“There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth. We are all crew. -” Marshal McLuhan The Park in front of the MadaTech – The Israel National Museum of Science, Technology & Space – Haifa, will be restored as an island of beauty, aesthetics and serenity, the Park will serve as a dynamic, hands-on microcosm of a sustainable environment, which perpetually recreates itself–building on cutting-edge technological developments, while at the same time promoting a community of concern that actively contributes to developing and maintaining the environment. Through varied cutting-edge exhibits and features, the Park will render tangible, an understanding of what a sustainable environment is, heighten awareness of the need to contribute to conserving our surroundings and planet; and encourage visitors to play a personal role and assume individual responsibility toward that end.
O*GE created a masterplan for revitalizing the park through the buildup of an "Environmental-Friendly UFO" as the park’s new gateway: a UFO-like structure that operates both as an environment information center and a dynamo that ensures the Park’s sustainability and renewal.
