Not only because they are refitting and changing the structures to the peoples current needs, but also they mean change in the peoples behaviour. From proposal to execution, a project really finishes only when the people are accepting their “new” environment and adopt it for their needs. One of the biggest changes in recent years in Jerusalem is the installation of the futuristic looking light train. With its route through Jaffa Street, the changes are tremendous:the reduction of private traffic and the focus on public transportation are resulting in generous extension of the pedestrian area, such as at Generali Square. With dedication to the process of change and adaptation we offer a growing structure which changes its appearance and use. Along a prepared 3d bent stainless steel tubes, willow trees are growing and create finally a free shaped dome as a place for tranquility and shadow. Such as the peoples connection to the “new acclaimed” square is growing, this life sculpture changes its appearance in an artistic way and hence becomes an icon for the positive and exciting changes in the city. With this set up the growing sculpture will be not only a fantastic station on the route of the light train, it also gives new life to the Generali Square with its overlooking lion, and it becomes a tranquil place for meeting and enjoying a cup of tea where yesterday has been still a road.
